Amorepacific Singapore Empowers Female Cancer Patients with ‘makeup your Life’ Campaign

SINGAPORE, Sept. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — In a partnership with the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), Amorepacific held a beauty workshop, makeup your Life , to educate female cancer patients on how to care for skin that is affected by cancer treatments. In its second year running, the event was held on 15 September 2018 and saw a total of 44 participants come together in 2 sessions of a 2-hour workshop. Amorepacific Group launched the makeup your Life initiative in 2008, and subsequently rolled out the campaign across various Asian countries, with Singapore launching in 2017.

This is Amorepacific’s first global corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign and is currently executed across six countries and regions, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam and with Thailand scheduled to join in this year as well. Between 2008 and 2017, this campaign has benefited 14,040 female cancer patients and involved 5,241 volunteers from the company. When undergoing cancer treatments like chemotherapy, many cancer patients often encounter a variety of skin reactions which can range from mild to severe in intensity. At this workshop, cancer patients are educated on the effects of chemotherapy on their skin, how to care for skin, as well as tips on makeup application. With empowerment of skills, the patients can understand how to take better care of their skin to enhance their confidence as they return to social or work life.

“Through makeup your Life , Amorepacific hopes to add a little colour to the lives of female cancer patients by helping them to restore confidence through sharing tips on how to care for their skin and enhance their features,” says Lysan Chew, General Manager of Amorepacific Singapore. “This is not just a one day event, but rather a collective effort by participating parties to do their part to help cancer patients lead a more beautiful life.” This is the second year that Amorepacific Singapore has partnered NCCS on this campaign.

“Our patients were very happy after the workshop. They really appreciated the expert makeup tips that catered specifically to the common skin problems encountered during cancer treatment. Many also said that meeting fellow cancer survivors and sharing their stories made them feel less alone and overwhelmed. Such emotional and practical support goes a long way to boosting confidence and helping in our patients’ journey back to health!” says Dr. Veronique Tan, Senior Consultant in the Division of Surgical Oncology, NCCS, and Head of SingHealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre.

The makeup your Life campaign is part of a ’20 by 20′ initiative by Amorepacific, which represents its commitment to beautifying the lives of 200,000 women by contributing to their health, wellbeing and economic development. Operated mainly in Korea and China, this initiative aims to contribute to reducing the mortality rate of female cancer and in improving the lives of female cancer patients. In these regions, the initiative extends to preventive education and screening measures to funding surgery for women who fall within the low-income group.

Some days are too hot to wait for a cold treat which is why this 3-Ingredient Strawberry Sorbet is so amazing. Just toss your frozen strawberries into a blender with the almond milk and maple syrup, blend them until they’re smooth, and then pop the mixture in the freezer to set. The best part is that because this recipe calls for frozen strawberries, the time the freezer is cut way down so you don’t have to wait as long to eat your sorbet.
2. Red Lentil Corn Chowder [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

Red Lentil Corn Chowder is such a creamy dish with plenty of protein and flavor. This soup is amazing because it’s so incredibly filling and also crazy easy to make. Only about 30 minutes from start to finish and dinner is served!
3. Oil-Free Roasted Carrot Fries [Vegan, Grain-Free]

These Oil-Free Roasted Carrot Fries are out of this world! Carrots are usually juicy enough that you don’t need to put oil on them for the spices to stick to them, (if they are dry-they are old ha) so sprinkle the spices over the carrots and give them a toss using your hands just to make sure they are coated in the spices! And that’s it, you bake them, make the dip real quick and you have a healthy, easy, nourishing snack!
4. Spicy Garlic Edamame [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

If you are a fan of garlic, then you are going to be obsessed with this Spicy Garlic Edamame. The salty edamame is tossed in into a hot pan with seared garlic, spicy chili oil, and a splash of tamari to give it a little extra salt. This fiery snack is dangerously addictive – you have been warned.
5. Baked Hash Browns [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

Crispy potato goodness. Enjoy your favorite breakfast potato the healthy way by baking these Baked Hash Browns instead of frying them! The potato is mixed with carrots for added nutrition.
6. Bean and Mushroom Fajitas [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

This vegan take on Bean and Mushroom Fajitas is such a go-to dinner recipe for busy weeknight evenings. It’s quick to make, doesn’t create a lot of dirty dishes, and if you don’t feel like mixing your own seasoning and making the pico de gallo and guacamole, these can be readily purchased in almost any store to speed things up. The biggest bonus is that everyone around the table gets excited when they realize it’s fajita night.
7. Stretchy Potato Cheese [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

Stretchy, gooey, dairy-free cheese … made with potatoes? While most melty vegan cheese is made from cashews, this Stretchy Potato Cheese genius recipe makes the magic happen with just veggies! A simple cheese that goes great on sandwiches and pizza or that can be used as a dip!

8. Fresh and Light Zucchini Lasagna Roll-Ups [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

A light and fresh Zucchini Lasagna Roll-Ups recipe for summer! Rolled with hummus and fresh spinach, then topped with simple tomato sauce, fresh basil, and toasted pine nuts – this zucchini lasagna will be a warm weather favorite!

9. Creamy Cauliflower Chickpea Soup [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

This decadent, dairy-free Creamy Cauliflower Chickpea Soup is just perfect in its simplicity. The creaminess is unparalleled. Yet, there’s no cream — there’s not even any non-dairy milk in it. The base of this soup is entirely made from cauliflower, onion, and garlic. It gets whizzed up in the blender and the result is like a bowl of chowder that tastes like it’s made with heavy cream. It works perfectly as leftovers — so, if you make a big pot and put it in the fridge, you will be able to eat healthy all week long.

10. Sweet Potato Boats With Chickpeas and ‘Cheese’ Sauce [Vegan, Grain-Free]

In this Sweet Potato Boats With Chickpeas and ‘Cheese’ Sauce recipe, baked sweet potatoes are topped with spicy, roasted chickpeas and a super creamy vegan cheese sauce that you won’t believe is made from cauliflower. This combination is amazingly delicious and very filling.

Article Writing Tips

Whether you are just starting out with your online business or you are seasoned pro, writing and distributing articles is one of the most effective and low-cost ways to drive lots of targeted traffic to your site. Writing articles and submitting them to the article directories will get you free traffic when people click on the link in your resource box. It is also a great way to improve search engine rankings, since you will have plenty of incoming links to your site. Let’s take a look at how you can get started writing articles. Here are a few tips to get you started.

Write a Top Ten List

An easy way to get started with an article is to come up with a Top Ten List. Find a topic related to your business and jot down ten reasons why someone should purchase your product or offer advice on a topic that’s related to your website. Examples would be top ten ways to get your baby to sleep through the night, top ten reasons to write articles, or top ten reasons to buy car insurance. Once you have your list of ten items, write a little paragraph about each, explaining the reason in a little more detail.

Next you add an introductory paragraph that pulls the reader into your list. For example an introduction to the baby sleeping through the night article could mention how hard it is to make it through the day and how sleep deprived you are until you get your baby to sleep through the night. Then close your article either by summing up what you just told them in your top ten lists or encouraging them to act on what you just told them about.

Congratulations, you just wrote an article. Of course you can easily shorten this to a top 5 list. Just write a little more about each of your points.

Record Your Article

Some people prefer recording themselves while they are talking about a particular topic and then transcribing and editing it into an article. If you have an easier time talking about a particular topic than writing about it, this may be a great option for you. Most MP3 players now come with a record option, or you can pick up a cheap tape-recorder. Pick a topic and just start talking as if you were explaining it to a friend. Just start babbling and the ideas will start to flow. Now listen to your tape. Write down and arrange the major points you mad in order. Add an intro and a closing and you have another article.

Hire a Ghost Writer

If you are having a hard time writing articles, or just don’t have the time to do it, you can still benefit from article marketing by hiring a ghostwriter. Ghost Writers will write unique articles for you that become your intellectual property. You can post them as your own work to your site, your blog, as well as the article directories. You can find a ghost writer on sites like elance. There are also some freelance writers with their own websites out there. You can usually buy articles anywhere from $5 – $65.

Write an Outline and Have Someone Else Turn it into an Article

Another option if you don’t want to do all the writing yourself is for you to write a basic outline of the article and the point you want to bring across. Jot down any ideas you have for the article, then ask a friend or hire someone to flesh it out for you into an article. You may be more comfortable with passing these articles off as your own, since the content of the article was your original idea. Someone else just put it into an article format for you.

There is no reason for you not to get started with article marketing one way or the other. Get a few articles out there and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You’ll be so impressed by the results you can get even from a handful of article, you’ll be writing them and submitting them all the time.

Traffic Zion Review

Here is my review of the Traffic Zion Software and so far,it is going great.I found a really good description of the way the software works on Facebook and this person described it perfectly. And here it is.

You load the keywords into TZ. TZ then goes to  wordpress dot com  and searches using one of those keywords for any post that has been tagged with the same keyword. TZ then adds a “like” to that post and moves on to the next post that has that tag and the next and so on. If it finds no posts tagged with that first keyword it moves on to the second keyword and continues in that way until it stops. The “stop” point is determined by the software based on what would be considered reasonable human behavior if a person was manually doing exactly the same thing.

You do not GET likes for a keyword, you are giving them. Demetris actually shows himself doing this manually in the training videos then points out he does not have to do it anymore because TZ does it for him automatically. From that point forward TZ has done its work for the day and will resume later.

SOME of the wordpress users that receive a like from you may go to your Gravatar profile to check out who has given them the like. After that SOME may follow your wordpress dot com blog or self hosted blog or YouTube channel depending on what is showing on your Gravatar profile page. SOME may follow the link on your Gravatar page and if that link leads to an interesting or valuable website or property they may sign up for you offer, click on your affiliate links or buy your product.

You have to have set up your wordpress blog first.Whether it is via wordpress dot com the free version or the self-hosted version. This is important. Then you have to connect your account to  your Gravatar account and then add a profile picture and your websites that are running on wordpress as well so you followers know who they are following.

You can add up to 5 – 10 keyword phrases or tags into the software. To get better results get the Tribe upgrade so at least up to ten posts are chosen yourself and are promoted via the WordPress Reader where you are reading other peoples’s blogs and are liking and following them.

You can also use the vps server so you are not leaving your computer on all day and night so the software can do it’s thing. You purchase a monthly subscription for using the vps (virtual private server) server, and using a remote connection via a remote desktop connection via Windows. You use the credentials that were given in your account to connect to the vps server. Then you click on it after it has downloaded via the settings section in your Windows computer, and you may have to enter the password to your vps server again to have a look at it.

At this point you copy and paste the Traffic Zion software that you downloaded earlier and you re-enter your registration email and that’s it.Don’t forget to turn on the Traffic Zion software inside the vps server so it can do it’s thing and bring you followers, likes and gradually more traffic to your WordPress website.Don’t forget to add tags to your posts as that will play a part in bringing likes to your website and to your posts.

Also, write blog posts that are of value to your readers.Remember they have to read something worthwhile when visiting your blog.

It also takes time, patience and regularly writing an article or two a day, good posts to get consistent results.
