Graduate Patrick Cathcart, 21, spent three days living with a cash-strapped single mother in Salford. A millionaire’s son was given a harsh reality check when he spent a few days living on benefits. Oxford Brookes graduate Patrick Cathcart, 21, had grown up wanting for nothing, with a Mercedes car, several Rolex watches and regular exotic holidays. However, he was given a lesson on what it’s like to be less fortunate as he lived with a single mother for the second series of Channel 5 documentary Rich Kids Go Skint. Having recently graduated this summer, Patrick admitted he was far from a regular student living off Pot Noodles and baked beans and instead regularly ate at top restaurants.
