Shoppers Receive Bargains, Breast Cancer Information at Local Thrift Store

Officials with a local thrift store gave shoppers the opportunity to shop for more than just a good deal. On Wednesday, October 10th, officials with Twice Loved Treasures, a thrift shop that benefits Inspira Medical Center, held a special shopping event to help promote breast cancer awareness. The event featured a half-off sale of everything in the store, but more importantly offered shoppers the opportunity to learn about breast cancer resources and sign up for free mammograms. While some shoppers came in just for the bargains, officials hope they walked away with life-saving information. “On a day like today we run a large sale, we have 50-percent off everything in the store,” said Holly Kennedy, coordinator, Twice Loved Treasures. “So, we bring in a group of people that don’t even realize sometimes that the information is going to be here. They’re here to get a bargain and hopefully they walk away with a lot of information.” Shoppers Receive Bargains, Breast Cancer Information at Local Thrift Store
