Richard Leech posted a picture on Twitter of the Golden Sun pilau rice, which is manufactured by Lidl, which included an added extra on a dead mouse. Mr Leech said the smell of the dead mouse had left his wife ‘vomiting’ uncontrollably. Twitter users hit back at the supermarket chain and had made jokes about the incident, comparing it to the film, Stuart Little. Twitter users began using the hashtag #StuartLidl in response to the incident One Twitter user was keen to show off his Photoshop skills and had switched the ‘R’ in rice to and ‘M’ One user @Gary Polmeer, tweeted a picture of an advertisement for 2000 Movie Stuart Little, with a photo-shopped poster which included the Lidl logo and a slogan of ‘the Lidl family just got bigger’.
