Why I Hate Blogging But Do It Anyway

You know it, I know it. We’re supposed to blog. Blogging helps with SEO. It leads to backlinks. It fills out your website and provides value to your audience. Heck, I’m pretty sure it’s gluten free and full of freaking antioxidants, too. Blogging is super important. I get it. But I’m gonna let you in on a secret. I hate blogging. I get overwhelmed by the task.

I can’t organize my thoughts, I get caught up in the research, and I never know where to start. The whole process makes blogging seem like a way bigger deal than it should be. It’s daunting, knowing I have to churn out content every 10 weeks. I’m busy! Surely, I have more important things to do. “I’m just swamped, I can’t find the time to blog”, is always there for an excuse. I could get out of blogging, but I don’t. I dig in, and I get it done. Begrudgingly, I never miss a blog. Here’s why.

Show what you know

A blog is the perfect way to show your expertise and share your knowledge with others. Use your blog to both give value to your audience and establish yourself as a thought leader. It’s easy to say you can do something – use your blog to prove it. Go deep on a subject, think critically, and table new opinions or discussions. The more people see you flex on a subject, the more they’ll trust your abilities as a consultant or collaborator in that domain.

Set an example

If you’re a senior leader at your organization, it’s easy to write off blogging as a low level task. No one will argue when you say, “I have more important things to do.” You probably do. But what sort of example are you setting? What does it say about blogging as a task, and more importantly, your company culture? You’ve stressed the importance of content marketing – shouldn’t you be a proponent of content production? By being part of the blog schedule, you’re setting an example. You’re showing that you, too, need to stay up-to-date on the industry everyone needs to get their hands dirty. You’re the foreman who comes down from his office and gets on the assembly line. From the top down, everyone needs to keep learning – even you.

When you teach it, you retain it

Sweeping changes to privacy rules happened this year because of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In April, I was like “what the heck is a ‘GDPR”.Some people research topics like this so they are able to relay the information to others and teach it. There’s the belief that you don’t truly know something until you’re able to teach it. Use blogging as an excuse to become an expert on a topic, and use the blog itself as your classroom. With these three reasons in mind, I’ve managed to overcome my blog block. That’s not to say I haven’t spent time staring at a blank word document, unsure of where to begin.

Utilize your blog time with a structured approach.

Once you have a topic, do your research and make a rough outline. Run it by your team or content editor and revise before jumping into a first draft. From there, it’s rinse and repeat until your draft is ready for publishing.

Get back to writing

If you’re reading this, we might be alike. You, too, may hate dislike blogging. You might be procrastinating or putting off your blog right now! We all have those tasks we’d rather pass off, but we know the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. So vaya con Dios, get out there and blog, you badass blogger, you.

About Advertising Here

All you do is click on the box saying “Advertise Here” under the post or the ones on the right on the side of the website, add your email and name and link of your website and title of your banner. and upload your banner image. It is in pixels (as in 125 x 125 pixels, or 180 x 150 pixels ) Then make your payment via Paypal with your debit card or credit card.

Banner ads are shown on a per week basis for the ones on the right side or per month for the ones placed under the post. The ones under the post will be the same ads seen when you are reading the posts as you scroll down to read the articles.I can’t do anything to change to a different ad for each post at the moment.

Paypal may attempt to get you to create an account with Paypal,  but you don’t have to do that.
Then all ad space banner submissions are put under review and with any luck your ad should be published.
Donations are accepted via Paypal as well. There is no refund for making a donation as those are ones that people decide  to offer.

I only have this method of payment. If you make your payment and you want to cancel it, I will try to send back the payment via the method of payment made. I don’t do repeat refunds if someone changes their mind suddenly after ordering.

Having said all that, there is no obligation for you to buy anything or donate if you don’t wish to.I don’t mind people who are browsing. But if you do, your contribution is truly appreciated and I will spend it wisely.

What Is This Blogging Thing?

By: Martin Andrew

Everybody is raving on about blogs, it seems everyone has one, and it seems that everyone is telling you that if you want to get on in Internet Marketing you need one too!!

But what exactly is this Blogging Thing?

OK well like everything else, theres the Long answer, the short answer, and Martins Answer(often quite similar to the long answer, only, well, better:-) )

Blogging, Like MOST of the other New Trends, isnt actually new at all. Blogging has actually been around for quite some years now, I would probably say its Infancy was pre-2000 if I really wanted to push it back.

A Blog, or Weblog, is qute simply an Online Journal or diary.

BUT, thats not what people nowadays mean, when people talk to you about blog and blogging, they are really talking about using this blogging software to run your sites.

The Simplicity and design of the software enables even the most technically challenged to add updated fresh content to their webpages, basically if you can type and use Word, you can run a Blog, this in turn is why it is becoming ever so popular, and also why most people do use it for, or at least most people *Were* using Blog and Blog software to run little Personal Diary Blogs.

However, what it really is, is a way to have a regularly updated website related to your business or theme at the push of a button.

Here are the three most popular “blogs” at the time of printing this, they probably will remain like this for a long time, but although these are “Blogs” they are more along the lines of an actual real content website, rather than a personal diary type blog.

# 1
Boing Boing: A Directory of Wonderful Things
67,001 links from 19,265 sites.

# 2
Engadget
65,581 links from 14,884 sites.

# 3
PostSecret
PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard.
By frank warren
21,503 links from 12,892 sites.

The MAIN Difference between a blog and a standard website, is the fact that bloggers tend to be more personal, tend to leave more of a personal stamp on their work. Thats why those first two sites above are WAY more popular than if they had just been a standard impersonal website.

DON’T let this blogging craze confuse you, its really not that complex, or infact that different to things you may already be used to, dont worry about this whole “Blog Revolution” thing, it is more of an evolution than a revolution, and the evolution involves websites and online business in general, not blogging on its own, blogging has simply become a tool to enable the following things –

Through free services such as Blogger, anyone anywhere anytime can start a website, without having any technical knowledge.

Through blogging software, it has become easier and easier to add fresh orginal content to your website on a regular basis,

Bloggers share information, ideas and thoughts with eachother through reading eachothers blogs and talking about them on their own blogs,

Those are the simple elements of what blogging is.

When you start looking at the software running the blogs, and the functions it has, you can see even more benefits, and why it is much much more than just “a Weblog” I am talking about, I want you to understand that blogging is an ESSENTIAL part of your entire marketing campaign, along with Article Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, and all the other aspects I cover, blogging is essential.

BECAUSE, Not only does your average blogging software enable push button content updates, BUT it also has the ability to do a MULTITUDE of the mundane tasks we have to undertake to build our traffic up to our websites.

Your blogging software can pretty much take care of all your on page search engine optimization AUTOMATICALLY!! All you need to do is post new content!!

Blog softwares can automatically reformat your content into different code types readable by different types of technology, with a little help, your blog could kick out pages viewable in Web Browsers, Palm Pilots, Mobile Phones, and perhaps the best one at the moment is RSS!!

Yes, your blog will easily produce a reformatted version of your webpage that can be syndicated by other sites, read by people directly on their desktops, and much more!!

I do cover a wide range of advanced blogging tactics which I won’t go into here as I would be here for TOO Long!!

Quite simply, a blog, is a software to Power your websites, how you decide to use it is up to you, but one thing I WILL STRESS here at the end is that the whole idea behind the fact that blogs are easy to use is to use them well, and update them regularly, to see the full benefit. Its because of this fact, that a good blog should be updated regularly to get the most benefits, that most blogs are really quite a personal type weblog but DON’T let that start to limit your thinking about what you can do with a blog, look again at the top 3 blogs, go to Technorati.com and look at the biggest blogs.

Don’t you think, actually, that most of the big blogs look more like a magazine now, rather than a journal or diary?

Remember what I said about evolution and not revolution?

You can use a blog for whatever you want, all I stress, is MAKE SURE you use it, and use it every day(or as often as you possibly can regularly)

Thats it for that, more will come soon, thanks for reading!

Article Writing Tips

Whether you are just starting out with your online business or you are seasoned pro, writing and distributing articles is one of the most effective and low-cost ways to drive lots of targeted traffic to your site. Writing articles and submitting them to the article directories will get you free traffic when people click on the link in your resource box. It is also a great way to improve search engine rankings, since you will have plenty of incoming links to your site. Let’s take a look at how you can get started writing articles. Here are a few tips to get you started.

Write a Top Ten List

An easy way to get started with an article is to come up with a Top Ten List. Find a topic related to your business and jot down ten reasons why someone should purchase your product or offer advice on a topic that’s related to your website. Examples would be top ten ways to get your baby to sleep through the night, top ten reasons to write articles, or top ten reasons to buy car insurance. Once you have your list of ten items, write a little paragraph about each, explaining the reason in a little more detail.

Next you add an introductory paragraph that pulls the reader into your list. For example an introduction to the baby sleeping through the night article could mention how hard it is to make it through the day and how sleep deprived you are until you get your baby to sleep through the night. Then close your article either by summing up what you just told them in your top ten lists or encouraging them to act on what you just told them about.

Congratulations, you just wrote an article. Of course you can easily shorten this to a top 5 list. Just write a little more about each of your points.

Record Your Article

Some people prefer recording themselves while they are talking about a particular topic and then transcribing and editing it into an article. If you have an easier time talking about a particular topic than writing about it, this may be a great option for you. Most MP3 players now come with a record option, or you can pick up a cheap tape-recorder. Pick a topic and just start talking as if you were explaining it to a friend. Just start babbling and the ideas will start to flow. Now listen to your tape. Write down and arrange the major points you mad in order. Add an intro and a closing and you have another article.

Hire a Ghost Writer

If you are having a hard time writing articles, or just don’t have the time to do it, you can still benefit from article marketing by hiring a ghostwriter. Ghost Writers will write unique articles for you that become your intellectual property. You can post them as your own work to your site, your blog, as well as the article directories. You can find a ghost writer on sites like elance. There are also some freelance writers with their own websites out there. You can usually buy articles anywhere from $5 – $65.

Write an Outline and Have Someone Else Turn it into an Article

Another option if you don’t want to do all the writing yourself is for you to write a basic outline of the article and the point you want to bring across. Jot down any ideas you have for the article, then ask a friend or hire someone to flesh it out for you into an article. You may be more comfortable with passing these articles off as your own, since the content of the article was your original idea. Someone else just put it into an article format for you.

There is no reason for you not to get started with article marketing one way or the other. Get a few articles out there and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You’ll be so impressed by the results you can get even from a handful of article, you’ll be writing them and submitting them all the time.

Traffic Zion Review

Here is my review of the Traffic Zion Software and so far,it is going great.I found a really good description of the way the software works on Facebook and this person described it perfectly. And here it is.

You load the keywords into TZ. TZ then goes to  wordpress dot com  and searches using one of those keywords for any post that has been tagged with the same keyword. TZ then adds a “like” to that post and moves on to the next post that has that tag and the next and so on. If it finds no posts tagged with that first keyword it moves on to the second keyword and continues in that way until it stops. The “stop” point is determined by the software based on what would be considered reasonable human behavior if a person was manually doing exactly the same thing.

You do not GET likes for a keyword, you are giving them. Demetris actually shows himself doing this manually in the training videos then points out he does not have to do it anymore because TZ does it for him automatically. From that point forward TZ has done its work for the day and will resume later.

SOME of the wordpress users that receive a like from you may go to your Gravatar profile to check out who has given them the like. After that SOME may follow your wordpress dot com blog or self hosted blog or YouTube channel depending on what is showing on your Gravatar profile page. SOME may follow the link on your Gravatar page and if that link leads to an interesting or valuable website or property they may sign up for you offer, click on your affiliate links or buy your product.

You have to have set up your wordpress blog first.Whether it is via wordpress dot com the free version or the self-hosted version. This is important. Then you have to connect your wordpress.com account to  your Gravatar account and then add a profile picture and your websites that are running on wordpress as well so you followers know who they are following.

You can add up to 5 – 10 keyword phrases or tags into the software. To get better results get the Tribe upgrade so at least up to ten posts are chosen yourself and are promoted via the WordPress Reader where you are reading other peoples’s blogs and are liking and following them.

You can also use the vps server so you are not leaving your computer on all day and night so the software can do it’s thing. You purchase a monthly subscription for using the vps (virtual private server) server, and using a remote connection via a remote desktop connection via Windows. You use the credentials that were given in your account to connect to the vps server. Then you click on it after it has downloaded via the settings section in your Windows computer, and you may have to enter the password to your vps server again to have a look at it.

At this point you copy and paste the Traffic Zion software that you downloaded earlier and you re-enter your registration email and that’s it.Don’t forget to turn on the Traffic Zion software inside the vps server so it can do it’s thing and bring you followers, likes and gradually more traffic to your WordPress website.Don’t forget to add tags to your posts as that will play a part in bringing likes to your website and to your posts.

Also, write blog posts that are of value to your readers.Remember they have to read something worthwhile when visiting your blog.

It also takes time, patience and regularly writing an article or two a day, good posts to get consistent results.
