Primark is bringing back its glittery Minnie Mouse heels

We’re still dreaming about Primark’s insane heels from last Christmas – and now they’re making a comeback But now the discount fashion retailer has surprised us all by re-launching the amazing Disney heels, and this time, there’s even an extra style on offer. Primark’s famous Minnie Mouse heels each feature the statement mouse ears on the back of the shoe, as well as the adorable bow, which is then all completely covered in glitter. Coming in heeled, strappy sandal or a pointed court shoe, there’s also an array of colours to choose from: black and red, black, gold or red, depending on which style you’re after. When it comes to the strappy version, you can pick from all-over glitzy gold, or stick to Minnie’s favourite colours and opt for black with a fancy red bow at the back. As for the heeled court shoes, you can choose between bold black or Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz-esque red. Sadly, considering the fact they’re both a total steal and downright beautiful, we reckon the iconic heels will set out fast. Primark is bringing back its glittery Minnie Mouse heels

Granger at the Movies: ‘A Star is Born,’ ‘Colette,’ ‘Venom’

The Oscar race is officially on with this contemporary version of “A Star Is Born.” Bradley Cooper stars as charming Jackson Maine, a country rock star, plagued by alcohol/drug addiction, coupled with hearing loss. On night, in need of a drink after leaving a gig, Jackson stumbles into a drag bar, where he watches Ally (Lady Gaga), a wannabe-but-insecure singer/songwriter, warbling Edit Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose.” Their chemistry instantly ignites. Later, when Jackson brings Ally to one of his concerts, he summons her onstage, where the audience instantly responds to her subtle yet sensational, natural artistry. Predictably, their romantic relationship becomes rocky when her career trajectory soars to superstardom, just as his declines. As part of her record deal Ally’s British manager (Rafi Gavron) insists that she discard her makeup-free, down-to-earth persona and assume a glitzy pop star image. Making his directorial debut, Cooper filmed at actual music festivals (Stagecoach, Glastonbury, Coachella), where they both sang live, instead of lip-syncing to prerecorded tracks. Sainsbury’s is selling pigs in blankets and brussels sprouts flavoured teabags and we think they sound gross

News Corp is a network of leading companies in the worlds of diversified media, news, education, and information services. The pigs in blankets flavour apparently tastes of sage and rosemary, while the brussels sprouts brew is a green tea THEY usually belong in your Christmas dinner, but now Sainsbury’s has launched two controversial teas that it claims taste like pigs in blankets and brussels sprouts. The pigs in blankets brew is said to taste of sage and rosemary, while the supermarket claims a brussels sprouts cuppa will be a vegetable-infused green tea. We haven’t had a chance to try them, and we’re not particularly desperate to, but they could make for a fun novelty Christmas gift. The packets contain 20 teabags and they cost £1 a box, so it would be an inexpensive way to prank a relative. They were first spotted by a Sainsbury’s shopper who shared a snap of the teas in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group. They’ve whipped tea fans into a frenzy, with more than 2,000 people commenting on the weird flavours. Nathan Dussie wrote: “I’m gonna replace all the teabags at work with the sprouts ones.” Sainsbury’s is selling pigs in blankets and brussels sprouts flavoured teabags and we think they sound gross

National Op Shop Week starts today

Vinnies thrift shops throughout the North Coast are inviting all community members to use National Op Shop Week to do some bargain hunting or donate unwanted clothing and household items to their local shop – ideally both. “Whether you’re passing on unwanted goods or shopping for quality clothing and other items at low prices you can feel confident that Vinnies will use the income received for the benefit of local families doing it tough,” said St Vincent de Paul Society’s North Coast Executive Officer Michael Timbrell. “You will be helping us to help others and be part of a major recycling initiative that massively reduces the amount of reusable goods going to landfill. So let’s have a good think about what we haven’t used for some time and wouldn’t miss if we passed it on. “Please bag up your unwanted goods – no electricals or furniture, please – and take them to your nearest Vinnies shop or collection bin. Clean items in good condition are well and truly saleable, and the end result is to put smiles on the faces of those who benefit from our support through food vouchers, help for their kids and other necessities.” Saturday October 6 has been badged as Big Spring Clean Day, a fitting end to a national week when op shops will hopefully be crowded with bargain hunters, and Australian households will have been culled of thousands of seldom used items suitable for new homes.
